Summer Powder Foundation Routine ft. Tartiest x MakeupShayla Palette

(Super Late) Maternity Haul Vidoes

So I had these videos up a while ago... BUT I took them down because I got so bombarded with messages from just plain old NOSEY people. Nevertheless, here are some of the things I wore during my pregnancy. I am about 6 months post-partum... so this doesn't apply anymore. But I am sure it will help some folks! So here are my series of videos on maternity wardrobe!

Green with Envy: Green Wrap Maxi Dress OOTD

Hey folks!

I know it's been forever since I've posted an outfit of the day.. But here goes nothing!

My husband and I went out to Downtown Atlanta to celebrate his fraternity brother's birthday. I wanted to dress up in a cute way (as much as I could for my current status!)

Luckily, I had a dress from Lurap. If you are familiar with shops such as Eshakti who take custom measurements then you'll see why I love Lurap.  They took my measurements and sent me this dress called the "Steal Green Dress" and it retails for about $60.

Unfortunately, I can't wear heels so I was in my foldable gold flats and paired it with my Kenneth Cole green croc skin clutch. I'm 6 months pregnant so I went up two sizes and it fairly well. Right now "cup runneth over" so the bust is a bit odd but still not uncomfortable.

Contact Lurap! They make things amazing with quick ordering and shipping!

Wedding Flow: Formal on a Budget using the Kondo Method

Since cleaning out my closet and using the Kondo method, I've been recycling outfits and restyling them. Using the Kondo Method means to really streamline and tidy up things down to the bare necessities and really putting to good use what you have as well.

Today we had a wedding and I pulled out the dress I wore to our rehearsal dinner from Necessary Clothing. My bag was an old one from Lu Lus. My shoes were umpteen hundred years old from Macy's (like I had them from when I was on college....). My necklace and earrings are recycled from my own wedding rehearsal diner. The brooch on the dress was a $2 beauty supply find. It really made it fancy and jazzed it up!

Hubs also has been restyling things. He simply purchased a new bow tie from k&g. His pocket square was from an old set that I got him ages ago. His shoes are his fav Cole Haan slip-ons and his suit is his trusty black Hugo Boss suit. He also got a fresh white Kenneth Cole shirt from K&G to brighten up his suit.

Here are our outfit deets:

(The lovely Bride and Me!)

I used the SheaMoisture Rich Earth Palette (see previous post) on my eyes and their new eyebrow kit on my brows.
Eyes: Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in "Stash" amd La Girl Gel Eyeliner in Black
LIPS: ColourPop Ellarie liner and Lips
Lashes: Koko Lashes in "Misha".
Highlighter: Lorac Tantalizer (nose), and Fashion Fair "Sun" Illuminating Powder, LaFemme Blush in "Cinnbar".
Face: Sacha Second Skin in Perfect Spice, MUFE Face and Body #44, L'Oreal Magic Secrets Primer,  Sacha Buttercup Powder, La Girl Pro Concealers, Fashion Fair "Teak" foundation stick (contouring), SheaMoisture Illuminating Powder in Mandalay Dusk  (contouring).

So what do you all think of re-styling old pieces and making them fresh? Does the Kondo method appeal to you?

A Showering Saturday: OOTD and Face

HubbyDude and I had a very full Saturday. We went to a Baby Shower for his Line Brother and his wife. It was such a beautiful and lovely event. (Naturally, it got us thinking about a little one of our own). Afterwards, we extended the day and went to the movies and dinner. I also was on the hunt for a pair of white heels that were comfortable, affordable and did not look matronly. Luckily, I found the most comfortable heels ever by Alfani with their Step N Flex Technology at Macy's. I was on the hunt for them in all colors (esp a nude) but to no avail... they were sold out! BUT I did get my white ones...
